As you may now, former The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie was shot and killed this past Friday night (June 10) during a meet and greet in Florida.

Adam Levine from Maroon 5, who served as the coach and mentor for the 22-year-old on the television show The Voice in 2014 is now offering help to her family following by paying for Grimmie’s funeral.

Grimmie’s brother, Marcus shared the news with her fans via Facebook, stating, “I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away.”

While the music world lost a young and talented soul, we’re sending our condolences to Christina Grimmie’s family and friends.
